If you happen to be camping by the river and have caught a couple of lovely fresh fish, there’s no better feeling than coming back to camp and cooking and eating them within just a few hours.
Here’s a recipe that you can try out next time you are looking for a great way to grill your freshly caught dinner:
Ingredients:
- 4 Filleted fish steaks
- 2 Tablespoons of Canola oil
- 100 ml of lemon or lime juice
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- 1cm ginger, grated
- Pinch of black pepper
Method:
Simply combine all the ingredients (except the fish!) to make a beautifully fragrant marinade. Then place in a zip-lock bag with the fish steaks and let them marinate for around an hour. In the meantime, get your grill nice and hot and brush some more oil on the rack.
Once your fish has marinated and the grill is hot, place the fish steaks onto the grill for your preferred amount of time, turning half-way through and continually brushing with the marinade sauce that was left over.
Job done – brilliant!
