Tuna Potatoes Au Gratin

This recipe is a great one to warm your cockles on a cool evening by the camp fire! You’ll need a large pot that will be happy to sit atop the camp fire for this one.

Ingredients:

  • A couple of cans of tuna (or more if you like!)
  • 5-6 large potatoes, sliced about 1 cm thick
  • 1 litre of milk
  • 1 large knob of butter
  • 200g cheese, grated
  • 100ml vegetable oil

How to cook:

  • Empty the tuna into the bottom of the large pan
  • Place the sliced potatoes in layers over the tuna
  • Drizzle the potatoes in the oil
  • Sprinkle the grated cheese over the potatoes
  • Bring the milk to the boil in a separate pan and then pour over the potatoes
  • Cook over a moderate heat for around 45 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through
Serve with a chunk of rustic bread and enjoy!
