This recipe is a great one to warm your cockles on a cool evening by the camp fire! You’ll need a large pot that will be happy to sit atop the camp fire for this one.
Ingredients:
- A couple of cans of tuna (or more if you like!)
- 5-6 large potatoes, sliced about 1 cm thick
- 1 litre of milk
- 1 large knob of butter
- 200g cheese, grated
- 100ml vegetable oil
How to cook:
- Empty the tuna into the bottom of the large pan
- Place the sliced potatoes in layers over the tuna
- Drizzle the potatoes in the oil
- Sprinkle the grated cheese over the potatoes
- Bring the milk to the boil in a separate pan and then pour over the potatoes
- Cook over a moderate heat for around 45 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through
Serve with a chunk of rustic bread and enjoy!
